- For the sake of it -

I'm sitting here on my sofa
not knowing what to do
bored as never before
I could call you on the phone
fax a friend at home
read a book or cook something
just for the sake of it

the radio's sending some news
fights somewhere out in the world
scandals bringing down some politician
nothing new at all, I'd say
I could turn it off or turn it up
throw a bunch of kisses at you
through the E-mail
or eat some ice cream
just for the sake of it

for the sake of it
I'd sink our bed into the sea
and change the place
there'd be no sound reason for doing so
I guess it would just be my usual fit
so, just for the sake of it

bored as never before
perhaps you should fax me
a picture of you dressed up
in a tiny blue bikini
so, just for the sake of it

for the sake of it
I'd sink our bed into the sea
and change the place
there'd be no sound reason for doing so
I guess it would just be my usual fit
so, just for the sake of it

for the sake of it
I'd burn our house
and build a new one
and go living in a boat on the Thames
there'd be no sound reason
I guess it would just be my usual fit
so, just for the sake of it

for the sake of it
I'd sink our bed into the sea
and change the place
and it would be just my usual crazy fit
